Ted and Margaret both retired in 2000, by November that year they had moved to a new house in Orchard Avenue, Aylesford near Maidstone Kent. Ted loved being close to his granddaughters, the 16 years here saw a tight bond grow between Grandad and Grandaughters.

It did not take Ted long to build a rear extension and a lovely new porch on their new house, Margaret acted as labourer!

Luckily the spot in Orchard Avenue, Ted and Margaret chose, became a quite tight knit, micro community of good neighbours.
