In 1985 Ted and Margaret moved from the once rented, but now wholly owned by themselves, Flat in Croydon Road to a 3 bedroomed semi detached house number 26 Addison Road, Caterham. This house was a stones throw away from where Ted spent his child hood in Caterham. 

Ted was still working with brothers David, William and David, along with long term business partner of William's David (Harry) Hall, trading as B& H Contractors until Ted retired in 2000.
