1970 - 1987

Right through the 70's into the1980's, Ted got involved with Greyhound racing. Often Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings were spent at Wimbledon Stadium watching the ups and downs of Ted and Margaret's total of 9 greyhounds race during this decade. Sunday mornings saw trips to the greyhound trainer, often ending with a social visit to the pub with people who became close friends. Ted's favourite greyhound was named 'Kevinstown', this lovely dog also brought Ted most joy as it raced at Wembly and White City, sadly not winning, but that was not 'be all and end all', Ted loved the social scene that went with the Wimbledon greyhound owners group.
